Reasons why you might need a gardener
I tried to have a little fun this week with my 45 Second Commercial. Here it is:
Good morning everyone! I’m Nathan Mueller with Mueller Landscape.
Today, I want to go over some of the signs… that someone might need a gardener… with a Jeff Foxworthy twist.
If you think… that watering your lawn with the hose a couple of times per week will keep it green… you might need a gardener.
If you think!…. that it’s ok… to mow your lawn on the shortest setting in the middle the summer, so you don’t have to mow as often… you might need a gardener.
If you think!!!….. that lettin’ your dogs and other animals do their business on the lawn, will fertilize the lawn… you might need a gardener.
My ask this week is simple: Come up with your own Jeff Foxworthy style reason why someone might need a gardener, and bring it to next week’s meeting. During my 8 minute presentation, I will do a quick raffle for a starbucks giftcard for everyone who does so, and it will be separate from my door prize.
Thank you, I’m Nathan Mueller, and from Mueller Landscape to you, we do the work you don’t want to do.
Len Street in Santee
Here’s another 45 Second Commercial:
Good morning everyone! I’m Nathan Mueller with Mueller Landscape, your landscape maintenance and construction specialists.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve shared a few different fun stories.
Today, I want to re-emphasize the point of these stories:
Number 1: Many home-owners do their landscaping on the weekend, but therefore give up their free time to relax and enjoy life outside of typical work days. We can fix that. We’re a professional landscaping company with over 500 residential customers. We’ll do our best to make sure your yard looks its very best.
I also have a very specific ask for today: If any of you know someone who lives on Len Street in Santee, that’s “L” “E” “N” Len Street in Santee. We will take care of their front and back yard for only $37.50/visit, so send them our way.
Thank you, I’m Nathan Mueller, and from Mueller Landscape to you, we do the work you don’t want to do.
Jack and Jill
Here’s the first 45 second commercial I did for Mueller Landscape:
Good morning everyone! I’m Nathan Mueller with Mueller Landscape, your landscape maintenance and construction specialists.
Today, I want to tell a story.
Jack and Jill
Lived on a hill
With their one and only daughter.
Their lawn turned brown,
So Jack went into town,
And the gardener came by after.
Now they had a neighbor,
Who hated labor,
And never mowed his lawn.
When Sunday came,
Jack watched the big game,
But he was stuck working ‘til dawn.
So be smart like Jack,
And get your weekends back.
Don’t be like the neighbor.
Give us a call,
Tell your friends and all!
We’ll do all the labor.
Thank you, I’m Nathan Mueller, and from Mueller Landscape to you, we do the work you don’t want to do.
What is a 45 second commercial?
Every week, I attend a networking meeting, where all of the members sit down for breakfast and share information about our businesses, with the intent of giving and receiving referrals.
The trick is that we only get 45 seconds every week to talk in front of the group. The basic outline they give for a good commercial is to talk about something specific, and then proceed with a specific ask, an ask being a specific name of someone that we would like an introduction to, with the hope that someone in the group will know the name.
My approach is a little different. I like to try and be more creative with the intention of being remembered. People don’t always remember information about businesses when they hear it from over 30 different businesses in less than 30 minutes.
I also like to prepare. Every week before my meeting. I figure out what I want to say, how I want to say it, and then I type up my commercial.
Because I always have them typed up, I decided it’d be a good idea to share them on my blog. Each one will be posted as a separate post under the 45 Second Commercials category.
Please leave any comments you have for each one. I always appreciate any feedback! Feel free to also comment on here with any fun and creative ideas you have for a good 45 second commercial 🙂
